  • Is it possible to check compression using an impact wrench?

Is it possible to check the compression on a B-3 engine using an impact wrench on the crankshaft? The reason I ask is I have a spare engine on a pallet I suspect is a good motor. Not sure if this will damage the threads in the crankshaft. I may just bolt a transaxle & starter on it and crank it that way. Impact would be faster. Any help would be appreciated!

    Thanks,

    Mike

NOOOO that will F&*K up your crank and it won't be fast enough. put the trans on and do it the right way.
