I don't know of anything electrical directly behind the cluster!
Besides the cluster connections themselves and you really can't get to anything else lower from there!
Now you got me wondering what could possibly be draining a battery overnight and not burn itself out!
    Definitely get us an answer!
Find out what it is he's looking for I have a boat load of electrical stuff taken from many, many festiva nervous systems!
Pic would be best or a number on the unit or even color and number of connections!

He found the short! I got to talk to his assistant today and get a better idea of where it was. He said it was the temperature gauge. He was able to find the part at a local junkyard. I should have Marvin back tomorrow. Hopefully I'll be able to quiz the owner tomorrow when I pick Marvin up.

Thank you for all the great information guys! *hugs*

Okay, I got to talk to the owner today. The temperature gauge started shorting out. Not the board but the wires between the circuit board and the instrument display. It got hot, melted a few more wires, and basically fried the instrument panel. The replacement panel was $85! OUCH! If I had known I was going to have to replace it and pay that bloody much for it I would have found my own with a tach in it!

But, Marvin is going again. It took the guys at his school forever to trace the problem out.

wait, they fixed it without your approval once the problem was found?!?!?! that's illegal!!! and that's WAY expensive for a cluster seeing that you can only get used ones anymore...
