  • Bosch Universal O2 Sensor

I had bought a Bosch universal a while back, and I realized I still have it... I think had spent $40-60 on it. While my festiva is out of commission, I'm replacing a lot of parts-- will the Bosch work fine in the Festiva? or do I need to get the OEM one? The OEM one is like $70, and for that I'd rather just keep the one I have in there now. It runs okay, but I figured mind as well, especially if it's the original O2 sensor.

Bonus question: I replaced the catalytic converter with one from an Audi A4 (I think it's actually a universal converter, I had bought it and never used it)-- do you think the Festiva will still pass emissions?

Hey rain, you should be okay with the Bosch o2 sensor, just cut off your connector (leave a good amount of wire on the sensor end of the connector) crimp it onto the Bosch shrink wrap it and go. You should be okay with the converter as well. As far as emmissions you should be okay. Good luck
