  • Fuel tank pressure/vaccum?

May be a dumb question, I've asked them before, but how much pressure should be in the tank when removing the cap? I mean a lot or a little. mine seems to have a lot of pressure when removing the cap to fill. and what might control that?

about 2 lbs is the limit for most caps, and remember that when you fill up, the tank is almost empty and there is a large volume of air that can be pressureized (due to expantion and heat)

Thanks, I think I am fine then. it just seemed like a lot the other day but you are right volume and heat are the factors to consider

I installed the new optical sensor now all my ignition problems seem solved even the low speed miss or "pop"
I also had an issue with the Idle air control motor, that was the bogging and stalling.
