sometimes when you press the button for A/C the compressor doesn't kick in. you may have to click the button 10 or so times before it kicks in. it doesnt do it every time and when it does you can hear clicking but it doesnt engage the clutch. any ideas?

I would start with the A/C relays should be a relay block down by the batt. you can apply power to the coil side of the relay and if the A/c works fine then you need a new dash switch
