This weekend I did my first trip with my newly acquired Festiva and I'm happy with everything. Averaged 33 mpg doing 70/75 mph except waiting in traffic for 1 1/2 hours at the Holland tunnel.
Now I'd like to do some work on the car.
First I'd like to paint the front and rear bumpers black. Has anyone done this? What needs to be done as far as priming the bumper?
Second I'd like to put a sunroof in the car. I've done this before on a couple of cars but I've always used German sunroofs from Benzes Bimmers and Audis. I realize these are heavy and may be a problem.
Does anyone have an exploded view of the roof? And has anyone done this. I imagine I'll go with a Honda or Toyota roof as the fit should be better.
Any advice on these two projects would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The are a few threads on bumper painting. Just search and you'll find it. Simotuffguy did a ragtop in his and there have been a couple of threads on this as well. Just use the search cause we pay $800 every day just for that feature.

Take it back to the back porch, join the 3 string revolution.

I talked with the Simon and the new owner of the car . . . I'm thinking of installing one similar . . . and they said (paraphrased) its just basicly a big hole cut in the roof. with the frame dropped into it
