I have a 92 Festy fi 3 Spd automatic. When I accelerate slowly and it shifts from 1st to 2nd, the revs have to be up or it will downshift back to 1st. The same scenario from 2nd to 3rd.. It seems like i have to give it more gas to bring the revs higher in 2nd for 3rd to not downshift to 2nd. Make sense? Anyone else having this same problem? Is there any adjustment I can do? Thanks in advance!

I have an 89 EFI Auto Festy that had a similar issue. After I changed the tranny filter and fluid it went away. You might want to try that or to use some tranny flush in it before hand to clear out any clogged orifices or sticky ball valves -
+1^ even when my fluid gets cold (-10C) my tranny does all sorts of weird stuff, so if its dirty and thick, it probibly would do similar thingsComment
