  • Plastic trim removal

My tiva's trim has come off.. leaving the stripes of that rubber adhesive gunk. Now I removed it from 1 door but it took forever. I had to use a razor blade to remove it. How have all of you removed yours? It wont just peel because its dry .. baked on... i dunno a pain.

I never removed all the old adhesive when mine came off. I just cleaned it up with either carb cleaner of brake cleaner, then put it back on with some 3M trim adhesive(I work for 3M). That was several years ago and it hasn't fallen off yet.

I have used a "eraser" its a rubber wheel you get a nappa to go on your drill or angle grinder and it takes off pinstriping and glue without harming your paint-- make sure you don't stay in one spot too long because then you'll have heat build up.. good luck
