  • Crankshaft pulley- white/yellow marks- which is which?

Ok, i want to check my ign timing. i understand that you have to use the white mark, but which is which?? the paint is worn out of both marks on mine so i cant tell the difference! Is the white mark the one closer to the front of the car or the one further to the back? help!

One paint mark should be on the notch cut into the crankshaft. That's the one to use when setting the engine to TDC (top dead centre) and when changing the timing belt on the carburetted engine. Mine only has the one paint spot on the notch so that's what i use to check the base timing.
