  • what did he do?????

ok first off this is not what i did .
my employee is on a road trip with his friends in a 89 camry .
he calls and it goes like this.

(him)I was driving and the car stopped do you think it is just hot??
(me) what exactly happened no bullshit.
(him) ok i was driving and the car started acting weird and losing power then the temp gauge was at the top so we watched it for a bit and it didnt come down and then it just died and now it just turns over.
(me) your !@#$ed why did you not stop when you saw it at the top??
(him) isnt it suposed to be at the top and oh ya there is no rad fluid in it .
he says this with his buddy turning the car over in the backround
(me) how far are you from anywhere ???
    (him) call my mom

his mom calls me back after talking to her repair shop and says that he must have heated that car so hot it melted off the timing belt againe.
    wtf !!!! againe i say .
she says the car had a leak in the rad and needs water every day or so and if it heats up it will melt of the belt.

    what you guys think????
    sound true ??
i think so and will find out on saturday as he works then.

          dam kids.
seems like mommy's car is gonna teach a lesson...
when i was a kid dad bought me a 79 chev half ton .
he filled it up (both tanks) put 1 year of plates on it and said here ya go.
i drove that thing for a year fixing any litte problem that came up and learned alot.
never did he (dad) put a dime into it it was mine and if i broke it i fixed it.
seeing that i was responsible when i was 19 i found a bronco 2 and needed a loan.
well i got it and paid him back in full.
i guess what i am saying is kids these days will get a new car from mommy and daddy and not know what a spark plug is and get left stranded on the road .
me and most of you guys would be on our way in no time.
if my trusty festiva moves a speck of dust off the normal safe temp zone i have my head under the hood looking for a problem.
but againe kids today just have no clue ???
let me say that right .
some parents raise there kids today to have no clue.
          thanks dad
buy the way my father died 3 years ago of cancer at the age of 53 .
if he was alive he would drive a festiva.

He bought you your first truck? Nice guy. We had one spare car and three kids, and I was the youngest. I bought my first truck right quick for $1400 (1982 Ford F100 short bed flareside, black, aftermarket rims and low profile tires). Good times.
