  • fuel delivery?

1991 Festiva, 175,000+, 1.3 w/cold air intake. Except for a water leak my Festy was running great. Coming home running fine when I make a turn and lose all RPM. Just enough momentum to get into a parking lot where the motor turns over but nothing. I tested the old pump and it was done so it's been replaced but still nothing. I'm going to start the checking for spark and so forth. Could it be the pressure regulator? I can still get it to turn over but nothing else. Any and all replies are welcome.

Did you by any chance hit a bump and the inertia switch tripped?

Easiest way I've found to check if the problem is fuel delivery or not is to squirt some starter spray into the intake and crank the motor. If it fires right up and runs for a couple seconds, then its something with the fuel system. If it doesn't fire up at all then its something else like compression or spark. Doesn't solve the problem, but it at least gives a clearer picture of what the problem is.
        No festiva for me ATM...
