Festiva/Aspire Interchange parts?

I have a 1997 Aspire. Will the engine work in my 1989 Festiva? Do all the engines in the Festivas/Aspires bolt in the same?

bolts are the same, but the electrical could be a nightmare... even if the 89 is an EFI car, you're still going to have to convert from OBDI to OBDII on all the wiring... but it would be doable, with a good bit of work.

You would need to swap all the parts for the intake, exhaust, and electrical. But it would bolt in OK.

Is the electrical from the Aspire the same as the electrical from the Festiva?
