I got my bumper cover off without removing the support beam... It involved folding it upwards as much as possible and then smacking the plastic clips out with a hammer. I wasn't reusing them anyways...

However - Had I remembered that the cover came off with the support, I would've just removed it as a whole, since I was throwing all of the pieces away anyways...

        I'm resurrecting another thread.

I'm wearing my rubbers waiting for the Monsoon.

Anyway... I'm trying to remove my bumpers for painting. I don't want to paper/tape off around them and risk overspray. And I still need to drive the car even while the paint is curing. I have the front off. It was much easier than I though.
The rear is giving me trouble. I'm stuck on the bolts holding the metal part on the car. I removed on from underneath on each side. There was a hole for another bolt, but it's not there. I also removed one nut on each side inside the rear of the car.
I can not see anymore, however, the bumper will not budge. Am I missing another bolt/nut somewhere?

            Thanks, William!
I was being lazy and didn't want to mess with the panels...

OK, Just exactly how many bolts/studs attach the rear bumper to the body structure? Not counting the two at each end of the cover in the wheel openings.
                Thanks
