A while ago, I replaced all my valve seals to deal with an oil burning problem, but I still have a bit of a cloud following me around. Does anyone have any insight on this? Are B6 engines prone to having the piston rings seize up and allow oil past?
When I had the head off recently, I checked the bores. While a bit shiny, they still showed some crosshatching, and there was almost zero ridge.
So, whaddya figure? Time for a new bottom end?
