All fixed! yee haw!

so another $180 later my knocking sound is gone.

turns out the noise was just the damm cv axle :x so i replaced the tranny for nothin! and the new one dosent even shift as nice.

anywho long story short, in about 5 hours my friend and i pulled out my tranny again, put that bolt back in, got the trans back in with the new CV axle, and torqued everything up. and we stopped for supper in there too

then at about midnight she finally rolled out of the garage again i held my breath for 3 blocks because i was worried that if i celebrated too soon it would start knocking again :lol:

strange thing with the trans, was the shift fork still seemed rusted to the shaft?! im not sure what happened with the clutch :S

yea, the old one should still be ok. the only thing is i took both electrical switches off it cause the connectors on the new one were snipped off and hard wired in. and i also took the shift rail boot cause the one on my new one was torn (didnt take the trans apart tho, just lubed it all up and carefully stretched it off.

i like goin to the US, but crossing the border is kinda a problem for me at the moment cause im not 18 yet.

Man....glad I am in the US. $180 for a cv axle....wow...$50 here. And then it must take longer in Canada to R&R the axel....normally under an hour in US....but all in all I am glad it is all fixed for you.

The wanted $160 for a reconditioned caliper in the UK....

I bought them over here for $45 at Advance!

Hard to beat American prices for most items...
