  • Oil problem

Hi, I have a question on my 95 ford aspire with 120000 miles,
It has a oil leak so I replaced the head gasket valve cover and oil pan gasket.
But still leaks down by the lower timing belt pulley, and on the left side of the engine by where the head and engine block meet, could this be a a oil pump gasket?
When I took the head off I noticed a gap there so I was wondering
    thanks

Sounds like a camshaft and/or front main seal leak.

pop your timing cover off and you should be able to tell where the leak is comming from.

Those oil pan gaskets can be real troublesome but it sounds like your leak is a little higher . Unless the timing belt is slinging oil.

When you say left which way are you facing ? If you are looking under the hood from the frt passenger side fender then left of the head and block would be the intake manifold ? If you are looking in from in front of the car then left of the head and block would be like the timing belt, water pump etc.

no, but it may help to remove the engine mount on the pass side and lower the engine a bit.

Hi, I removed the the old front crank seal and replaced it it still looks like it is leaking oil from there though. Is there another seal behind the front crank seal?
The head I looks like it is leaking from there to last time I replaced it I didn't see if the head was warped and just stuck it back on, do you have to buy new head bolts when replacing the gasket?
                          thanks
