I think my fuel pump is gone...
I got up the other morning to go to work and the car wouldn't start. I thought that maybe it had water in the lines and they just froze because it was quite cold that morning. I was going to get some iso heet, but it warmed up to about 65 and I figured that I'd just try starting it later that day. When i tried I had the same result. I took off the fuel filter today and found that there is no fuel coming from the pump. I checked the inertia switch and it isn't popped out. I checked fues under the dash but didn't see one for fuel and check my 3 fusable links up front but didn't see one for fuel. Is my pump just dead? When it warms today i'm going to push it in the garage and get it up in the air and see if voltage is going to the pump. I'm just seeing if there is anything that i'm missing. If is a pump does anyone have suggestions on a pump? I work at a autoparts store but honestly can say that i don't trust our fuel pumps for shit! I thought about a aftermarket or at least a place that offers a lifetime warrenty.
Its a 92 L plus F.I.
Please help! My RX7 gets like 19mpg and I drive 50 miles a day to work. Premium gas and 2 cycle oil is super expensive!
