charging problem

you need help from a wiring guy. the two taped off wires are for something and I don't have my book here. I am not a "wiring guy" but would not attempt to do that without a good tech explaining to me. I did take some electronics after high school but I would definately research this a lot before trying the gm alternator. They are cheap and powerful. but they don't just "bolt in".
the festy alt. would have been a "cheap bolt in", even if it cost a lot more initialy, now.
