fuel cutout?

when i try to start my 93 escort gt. it cranks over fine but the (fuel cutout light) comes on. do i have to prime the fuel rail or somthing. i rember on monster garage and when my mom got in a fender bender the fuel cut of switch in the trunk triped and the car dident run. but i dont want to press it unless i know that is the problem. also is there any other things that mite be wrong? any ideas?

You can press it anyway. It won't hurt anything.

Yeah just press it. It'll fix it or it won't, but it won't make it worse. I'm guessing that it will fix your problem since that light came on.

i pressed it and that did not fix it. i feel kinda stupid about this but i think i put my timing on wrong so... ill go check that then try some other stuff too, then we will see if my baby runs!!!!!!!!!!!! wish me luck. As arnold says "I'LL BE BACK"

i made it better it is SOOOO close to runing but as soon as it starts and i lay of the starter it dies. im gona test the compression to day and hopfully it will run and if it dosent there will be hell to pay. 25horseplay thanks ill need it
