How much should it be to have a new Front Oil Seal put onto the motor, or wherever it goes. i wrecked my car a week ago and I'm thinking about buying a 97 Ford Aspire for $500 with 61,000 miles on it, the guy that's selling it says the only thing it needs is the front oil seal put on, he said it should cost around 150 to 200 dollars to have it fixed. is this accurate, thanks in advance

$20 part and I would guess about 2+ hours labor to install. So $150-200 would not be outrageous.
Have them install a new timing belt at this time since they have to remove it anyways.

From autozone about $20. I'm sure that they will charge you more for the part. It may not need one but if it is starting to wear or crack I'd replace it. They would charge another $150 or so to do it later.
