Jim,
My last tank was 36 stock b3 5spd. I never got that bad with the old engine. I am still driving it and hope that it is just my driving technique that is at fault.
It was real bad with a new CTS so I changed to a good used one I had and it went up.
Next move will be to replace the injectors with a professionally tested and cleaned/good set I have.
I have a Glasspack muffler on it with the stock "Cat" and I get a burbling on deaccel. Would the burbling be normal or would the injectors maybe leaking a little?
Thanks,
Bill L.it runs so sweet

Remember that gas stations are now using the winter "treated" fuel and economy will be a good bit less. My Integra went from 32 to 27 in one tank about a month ago. Last year my 4x4 Toyota did the same when winter hit. When summer came it went back to normal.-Bryant

I know the winter gas deal, living in Wis. but it never got below 40 before the engine change. I live in the country so all the driving is cruising 55-65 on good two lane. it used to average 43-46 before then 47-50 on trips.
I think I have to watch it more and check out a few things, exhaust pressure is lower with a glass pack, and I have to test the cts for proper resistance.it runs so sweet

Sorry forgot, B3 FI' stick. Couldn't say what it performs like... its the only festiva ive driven and ive really just started driving it. Seems ok.. but ive got nothing to compare to.

I think I may have to put the original exhaust back on, may have to little back pressure. I advanced the timing another couple degrees and got some more bottom end which is what I need with the 175/70-13's, and I am going to check the CTS resistance to make sure that is ok. I guess it is just more tweaking. oh well it runs good now just not the mileage it should ....yet!it runs so sweet

brand new fram air filter. B3 computer. o2 sensor... probably original
it took 30 bux to refill after 200 miles so it wasn't right empty but i had it run out of gas once at 1/8 tank on the gauge so i want taking any chances.
also ive seen the check engine light go on a few times. Once or twice when it was ice cold idling... it went away soon as i put it in gear and drove off. and once i was cursing down the road at about 2500rpm (again, very cold engine) and the light came on, but i shifted up and it disappeared. dose the computer store the codes or do you have to read them when the light is on?89SX funtop!
