Its the swingaway swoopy type, I got it apart somewhat but if doesnt look like the mirror part comes off ??

I've had one repaired where they just glue on a new piece over the cracked bit. It's almost impossible to remove just the glass without breaking something else.Ian

Go to your regular parts store and see if they have a replacement glass for a 1992 mazda protege LX, same glass as yours.

Had one made by a glass/mirror shop!
Not cheap but fit perfect!
Took incomplete pieces to shop and they templated it and made one!
Used acetone to remove pieces of mirror from adhesive.'93 Blue 5spd 230K(down for clutch and overall maintanence)

I bought two NOS mirrors this morning at 3:05 am on ebay for $20.48 ( for both )+ combined shipping. :sleepy3: Looks like Redford might be in for an upgrade too.

The company is called redi-cut they sell all sorts of oem flat and convexed side mirror replacement parts. If it is a power mirror you can maybe separate the ball joint from the plastic frame and work from there. Good luck---------------------------------------------------
