  • Will Pride help Aspire?

I have an Aspire. I bought it in October. It has couple of problems. First, the most annoying noise it makes is from clutch cable. because it's not lubricated anymore, it makes noise every time i change gear. i will go back to China in January. I want to buy some parts from there and bring to Australia to fix my car. will Kia Pride's clutch cable be able to fixed onto Aspire? left front suspension makes noise when i drive through humps. drive shaft makes small noise when i accelerate. anyone please tell me if Pride's clutch cable, front suspension and driveshaft can be used on Aspire. Thx

I would like to say yes, but I am not that smart on the Pride. I think they are the same car though. there is a very active club in the phillipines. they have alot of prides.

Kzbill, thank u for ur reply. I think Pride is just Ford Festiva or Mazda 121, coz they look the same. but china made Pride is 1.4 engine. from chinese website, the engine called B3E SOHC. i dont know if anyone know anything about this code name. i think the clutch cable should be able to use on both pride and aspire.

                tedxyz,
could you please describe the noise it makes, when it makes it and the miles on your car.
It is possible that it is the throughout bearing makin the noise, or just the arm, which can be lubricated.
I don't know how many miles you have on your car but I personally have not had any problems with the cable before.
I have had a noisy throghout bearing, and others have also.

This might help. I just asked recently if the aspire & festiva clutch cables were the same.

Nope they have different part numbers, BUT doesn't mean it wouldn't work. There cant be that much a differnece in length

kzbill, my car has done about 172000km. i am sure it's the cable's problem. coz my mechanics lubricated once. but the noise only disappeared for one week. i think the cable's outside rubber has broken somewhere.

muscle_Car1, thank you for your help. so bro, how did u fix your car's clutch cable? use the one from ebay or something else. please let me know.

the shipment is three times more than the actual product. i want to ask if the one for Chinese Pride is CA-673 first.

                      Hi there....!!!

Yes...... it is the same cable for, Festivas, Prides, Aspire. Most of the mechanical parts are common on this vehicles with some variations on emission control system, carburettors and ignition distributors.

For exp. festiva uses AISAN 2BBL 26-30 carburettor
Kia Pride NIKKI 2bbl on B1 and B3 mazda engines. Some Europeans Pride models uses HITACHI.
