  • Battery on the way out?

This morning when i turned on the car ... my CLOCK was 43 minutes BEHIND the actual time. I set it back to the correct time, and it seemed fine driving around. I then parked it this arvo for a few hours, and went for another drive to find the clock this time was 14 mins behind.

The car still starts fine, but is this an early sign that the battery could die anytime soon? Or is it simply cos distilled water levels are low?

Usually the clock will keep time right up until the battery goes dead .

If the car starts OK , I would have to say the clock is getting tired , you may want to double check the plug in on the back and make sure it is plugged in all the way .

I guess it could be possible to have a loose connection , causing power loss to the clock .

I donn,t have a clock or radio...but have seen in many old ones with LCD displays, the clock mal-functions like this. Especially in cold wheather. The segments in the LCD can't handle cold wheather.
