I have a 94 Aspire and when I bought it it had a fan out of something else in it wired to a switch off the battery. I got another fan out of a 94 Aspire and plugged it in to the original plug, which, as far as I can tell, looks pretty good but it won't kick in. I figure there's a temperature sensor gone and just wondering if anyone could help with some suggestions.
I read the Haynes manual but I can't really seem to find the problem

Are the terminals on the connectors oxidised? Mine were and that prevented the fan from working. Scrape them with a small screwdriver or a knife until the metal is shiny again and see what happens.
