    so how long can I run the aft with the oil b4 an oil change???

    about 10 min with NO LOAD (idling in park/neut)

    unless you enjoy thermally bonding the bearing shells to the crank.....

      ty Mr. badwrench ;-) lol I was wondering about that trick a few ppl heard lucky's hla tick and recomended I do that to try to clear the passages... think it will work or will lucky have it's scalp removed again... maybe i should have named that car frankenstine...... LOL would go well with uncle fester eh?

                    ATF is close to a 5w20.

                    However, it doesn't clean much.

                    It's full of dispersants which hold things in suspension. However, it's VERY light (about 1/3 of a good oil) in detergents (which actually clean).

                    It won't harm anything.

                    Personally, I feel www.auto-rx.com is well worth the $20. It's a 3500 to 6500 mile commitment to cleaning. It's made from organic esters and will clean 100x better than ATF.
