  • Claeaning off varnish

Ive been working on by B6 head. Anyone know any good ways to remove varnish? Ive tried solvent (the parts wash stuff), acetone, brake cleaner but nothing works! The head is nice and golden but i wanted to clean it out so its nice and shiny.

Ozzy Juice if you can find it, and it has to be warm for it to be most effective.

        Better

Most shops use a product called "Aluminum Brite" Grainger sells it....don't know if they're in your area.....this stuff very similar to condensor coil cleaner....which is similar to lye (sodium hydroxide) which is similar to paint stripper. Paint stripper will work well...make sure you get a good rinse on it.
