Does anyone know where to get a new fuel level sending unit? My son just purchased his first car and it’s a 1.3l 4sp manual Festiva. Really clean but some issues you can expect in a 30+ yr old car. The fuel gauge works from full to half then drops to full empty. I’ve scoured the inter web for a NOS or aftermarket but to no avail. Almost ready to resort to pulling it and sending off to be rebuilt. Any direction would be great.

They are available from fourgreen.com
I just recently replaced mine, but I can’t seem to find the part number. The one I received wasn’t identical to mine, and had an additional resistor that changed the impedance range. I was able to wire around it though, and it works fine.
They’re quick to respond if you need to email them.1990 Festiva - Throttle Body/Manual Transmission

Try posting in the for sale / wanted forum. People with parts cars may have one available. I'd take out the one with the problem first and see if there is a simple fix. Sound like you'll be taking it out anyway. Also a search of the Intenet may reveal some. Be careful about models. You'll have the carburetted model. Not the same as the fuel injected model. Good Luck.Original owner of silver grey carburetted 1989 Festiva. 105k km as of June 2006. 140k km as of June 2021.

The unit might not be the same as the one that's combined with the fuel pump holder on later Festys, but do you think it might go into the tank and function anyway? Guess the bolt pattern cover and opening might be different? Never had the '88 Festy's sending unit apart here- that carby ran great.
