Hello everyone, Do the fuel injected Festiva's get a fuel pump on 2-3 seconds in run prior to going to start?

The fuel pump relay gets a signal to turn on the pump while the key is turned to the start position, not when the key is in the on position.
When you release the key and it returns to on, a switch in the air flow meter keeps the fuel pump running as long as there is air flowing.
There is a jumper you can put a wire across (near the windshield wiper motor) which will cause the pump to turn on and run while the key is in the on position.

Basically what 1990News stated. The fuel pump does not prime in these cars like most modern vehicles. There is a test connector near the brake booster that you can jump to make the Fuel pump run when the key is in the on position."The White Turd" 1993 Festiva 144k miles.
