  • MAIN RELAY AMPERAGE?

Anyone know offhand what the amperage is to the MAIN RELAY behind my '91's headlights- the one with the round connector that drives the injectors and fuel pump- I think mine is bad-

and where to get the part if I don't put in another kind?

    Thanks

The Main relay is carrying all current from the EGI fusible link, which is rated at 15A, so the relay must be rated at 15A or higher.
When I'm good I'm very, very good and when I'm bad I'm HORRID.

Thanks- I spliced in a 40 amp and it started right up- problem solved, time cannot be won.

If the quality is there, with that much overkill in amperage, the relay contacts should last much longer than the original relay and may never have any significant voltage drop for its useful life.
