Festy not starting

hello again festy fam...i did some searching and couldnt find anything about my problem.just recently ive had to put in in neutral to start;only starting in park occasionally.now i go to start it and it won't even crank over.is there an adjustment somewhere on the tranny that i can do or will i have to bring it somewhere?automatic tranny btw..thanks as always.

There is a cable that runs from the shifter to the switch which is a safety feature to prevent starting unless the shifter is positioned correctly.
It sounds like this may be out of adjustment. Its been a while since I had an automatic shifter assembly taken apart but I believe you will need ot remove the plastic shifter cover to get to the part you need to check at the shifter end..
You will need to remove the steering wheel and the cover around the switch to get to the switch end of the cable.
