  • 1993 Festiva has low power after replacing head gasket

Hi there and thank you in advance for taking the time to help me out here. I just replaced the head gasket on my Gambler 500 1993 Festiva and I have very low power. Once I finally got it running, it idled real low but a little adjustment of the throttle cable remedied that. I couldn't find anything about how much the distributor timing needs to be advanced BTDC so I set it right on center, could that be the issue or is it more likely something else? Any advice helps and is appreciated

What is cylinder compression (wet and dry) since replacing head gasket?

Also double check cam and crank timing marks. One tooth off can make a huge difference.
