  • Heat to defrost and floor not vents

I have heat coming to the floor and defrost at floor but not out the vents. Thinking it is an actuator issue or door issue. Having an issue with it doing at idle as well when first started. Replaced fuel filter, didn't resolve the issue.

The vehicle was designed to only throw heat through the Floor and Defroster vents. Probably to save cost of extra duct work.

As far as the idle issue, how old is the gas in the tank and have you looked for vacuum leaks? Can you better describe the situation?

It is fuel injected. I have looked for vaccum leaks but seen none.

Issue happens on cold start, and goes away when it gets warm.

Starts runs strong about 30 seconds then slowly dies but will stay running with gas applied.
