92 festiva idles fine but engine about dies when gas peddle is pressed

I have a 92 festiva & I bought it& drove it home. Well I made it half way home before I ran out of gas, got gas& made it home. Car was running fine Couple days later the support arm under the drivers side broke while I was whipping it into my driveway. The car started to run funny after that. Like it wasn't getting enough gas. It would go pretty good if when I turned it on something was squealing under the hood& I mashed the gas, but this got worse& worse. Until it stopped starting all together. I replaced the fusable I links, the fuel filter, checked all the spark plugs, cleaned out the fuel tank, took off the catalytic converter, & fiddled with the timing, & while the car starts now& will idle it tried to die when I slightly press the gas pedal. Please help
