That should be a standard issue for carbureted vehicles of all makes. Try searching the Internet on "carbureted car stalls on deceleration". Mostly its dirt which in the carb, pump, fuel line, or filtre which should be easy and cheap to fix. When I drove my car daily I would do a minor tune up each summer which includes spraying with carb cleaner. There is also the fuel filtre. Even the fuel pump is easy to replace because it just bolts on the side of the engine block where it is driven by a lobe on the cam shaft. They mention a sticky EGR valve which is also easy to clean. Cleaning and gapping the spark plugs is part of a minor tuneup and can also help. Have fun.Original owner of silver grey carburetted 1989 Festiva. 105k km as of June 2006. 140k km as of June 2021.
