  • Coil Springs?

So my trusty 1991 Festiva, a daily driver, busted a rear coil spring yesterday.

Surprise surprise, nobody carries them anymore. Do the springs from a 1991 Mazda 121 fit? They seem to be sold on Ebay.

I replaced mine in 2016 with KYB 340009. Yes, they may not make them any more but there may be some lying about in local parts warehouses or in stock of Internet suppliers. A search of the Internet for substitutes suggests Gabriel G51039 and Monroe Shocks & Struts 71225. I see Amazon lists the KYB's for $77 US. Good luck.. BYW people have reported here problems getting the old strust off. Mine were cut off with a torch by the garage. (Sorry for the delay but I cannot login from home any more and have to use the computers at the public library.)

If you join the Facebook group and make a post looking for one, there are tons of members with extras laying around after they swapped over to Coilovers. On that note, I would recommend upgrading to the coilover kit for the rear that is listed in the Advance Dynamics Suspension guide. The rear is only a little over $200 and it makes the car much more stable.
