I bought a used Festiva with EFI which the previous owner said needed a new head gasket. He said he had also replaced the gas tank. I made sure the motor wasn’t seized and could turn but never saw it run.
put on a new head gasket, timing belt, spark plugs, wires distributor cap, etc. this was my first time ever going that far an doing a head gasket and timing belt
Gas line seemed blocked/questionable. So I disconnected it and have been trying to just see it will ignite off of ether only
It seems/sounds like it’s super close to actually firing but I am not that experienced when it comes to stuff like this so I need some help or hints. I double checked alignment marks on both crank and top pulley and they do look pretty good so I don’t think I screwed that up which was my first assumption.
getting spark for sure, confirmed with tester light. Throttle body opening fine with gas pedal
but no matter how much ether I spray it just doesn’t start
what should I do next?
