It's amazing sometimes the axles come right out sometimes they are a pain. I even made a special tool that works really well it's a 10ft piece of garage door cable with a loop on each end made with cable clamps. 1 loop you run the cable back through to make a slip knot, tge other loop slide over the handle and up to the head of a sledge hamner,a
xe,maul. slip the slip knotbover the inner cv joint pull the cable taught, swing the hammer like a golf club, works really well. Over the years I've had 4 inexplicably stuck axles but most of the time they are easy. Today I studied the axle I pulled a couple of days ago that was stuck well if you look at an inner cv joint and study the clip,if the open end is pointing up,most of the clip is exposed and very far out of the retaining groove,if you turn it 180* almost the entire clip is in the groove letting the joint slide out. That explains why the very toughest ine I ever dealt with. I couldn't get it. I tred driving it out from the other side. Gave up put the car back together tried again acweek later ,it popped out easy. I imaginev1st time when I parked the open endnof the clip was up,next time I'll bet it was down. I do know from now on when I have a stuckn9ne I'm going to push in on the axlealliwing the clip to float free, and rotate the axle 1/4 turn, then another, then another if I have too. But look at an inner joint and clio, you'll understand what I'm talking about
