  • Not a huge problem, but a wierd starting issue nonetheless

When I start my 1995 Aspire, usually when I leave the lights on, ( I do this to light my path as I walk up to a house on a pizza delivery) I get what sound like a relay clicking very quickly. But its not like a dead battery, because the starter is still working all the while. It just makes this weird clicking noise.
Im pretty sure its voltage related, as it doesnt happen as bad (but still does) when the headlights are not on.

    Any ideas?

As he was perfectly drifting past the apex I looked at Quasimofo and yelled "You know, I have never been in a rollover accident before!"... I think it all went pretty well after that.

Have you had your battery load tested lately ?

It sounds like maybe a low voltage issue , or a loose /bad ground .

check all your engine to body grounds .and battery connections , and make sure they are clean .

One quick way to check grounding is to run a wire from your negative terminal on your battery to an unpainted metal spot on the body/chasis. I had a similar problem with an 86 f250 and this solved the clicing relay and a host of other symptons that I had.
