Ok, so baby car has to wait for new wheels till next week. I just pulled a trans out of my 93 escort parts car. My 95 is in in my yard where my wife put it after she drove it home stuck in 5th gear ( I do not know how she managed that, she must be a heck of a driver). The problem is, where it is at is almost impossible to work on. Any ideas how to get it out of 5th gear, and into neutral, so I can move it somewhere I can work on it? I may have to remove the cv's, but cannot figure how to jack it up where it is....

No. It is a hydraulic clutch, and you can see it move properly. Prior to getting stuck, we were having other probs, popping out of 4th, wouldn't go into 1st, you know, tranny going out. We were just using it for store trips for smokes and such if the other had the working car. well, on her way home, it stuck in 5th, and my wife pulled it into the yard. Now, I need to replace the trans, but cannot work on it where it is at, because I cannot jack it up on the muddy hill she parked it on! I just wanna get it into neutral, ya know? I have the trans out of the donor car, but cannot move this one. Gonna be a long weekend.....

The clutch still works with the engine off.
Or..I f you can push it forward...pull the plugs and let the engine spin...not a good idea to push it backwards when stuck in a forward gear...timing belts don't like it.

well, in my defense, I have been alone all day, so I didn't have anyone to give me a push up the hill, but still, yeah, I ain't living this one down for awhile, aw well :violent2: that seems to be how my week is going, and it took TWO times of Joe saying all I have to do is push in my clutch, I am giving my certs back.....
