check the connector at the Vane Air Flow meter, ontop of the air filter. The VAF has a switch that turns on the fuel pump only when the engine is sucking air thru the meter.

first, just undo the connector at the VAF, and check for coolant/water infiltration. Clean it out, reconnect it, and see if it will start. If not, you can put the fuel pump into a test mode by jumping a wire across two terminals in a test connector. The connector is up near the brake booster. It will be a two-position connector, with a black wire and a green/red stripe wire. Put a jumper wire across those two, turn the key on, and the fuel pump should run. If it does not, you may have a bad fuel pump relay, or a bad fuel pump.
