No way...if you were in that car when it was happening...you would think it was just a walk in the park for it. Didn't sound like it was straining at all and it was still pulling when he shifted. Just talked to him and he told me he was at 7500 briefly...lol...I wouldn't do it in mine...but I know what I heard and felt and I am telling you...it was no where near blowing!Originally posted by Festiva GTX^ B3 engine at 7000 RPM that's about to going blow up the engine! unless you have BJ engine no worries hehe..."FLTG4LIFE" @FINALLEVEL , "PBH"

This is exactly why I'm swapping my 4-spd for a 5-spd tomorrow, baby! I've owned Twistiva for 26 years and she STILL tricks me into reaching for a higher gear about once or twice a week, right about 45mph. "She sounds like she wants to shift." (Me reaching....) "Crap!"Originally posted by therris View PostMy first Festiva was a 4 spd. I tried to shift to fifth quite a few times just to see if it was hidden somewhere. It wasn't.
(And yes, this is a "Holy thread resurrection, Batman!" moment. Searching for transmission-swap related info. Fluid type, quantity, etc.)88L - 'Twistiva' - 'The Fusion of Man and Machine'
