    My Chilton's says the 4speed and 5speed have the same capacities. 5.2pints I dont know the conversion from pints to quarts but I know It the same amount for both trannys.

      two pints to a quart so 5.2/2 =2.6 quarts.

          No way...if you were in that car when it was happening...you would think it was just a walk in the park for it. Didn't sound like it was straining at all and it was still pulling when he shifted. Just talked to him and he told me he was at 7500 briefly...lol...I wouldn't do it in mine...but I know what I heard and felt and I am telling you...it was no where near blowing!

            My first Festiva was a 4 spd. I tried to shift to fifth quite a few times just to see if it was hidden somewhere. It wasn't.

              This is exactly why I'm swapping my 4-spd for a 5-spd tomorrow, baby! :thumbs_up: I've owned Twistiva for 26 years and she STILL tricks me into reaching for a higher gear about once or twice a week, right about 45mph. "She sounds like she wants to shift." (Me reaching....) "Crap!"

              (And yes, this is a "Holy thread resurrection, Batman!" moment. Searching for transmission-swap related info. Fluid type, quantity, etc.)
