headlight problems

I've recently been having major headlight problems ending in them cutting out completely. it's a 93 festiva with one new headlight bulb. first highbeams wouldn't work (bad switch?) then a kind of buzzing whenever headlights weren't on, and now no headlights, but brights blue light on dash is always on. i read most of the posts on headlights so i got lots to work with. any tips? thanks

Do your parking lamps work ?

Check for 12V on red wires at headlight relay.
disconnect headlight relay and apply 12 volts to white wire
If headlights come on check relay if not check headlight switch.

If wiring checks out try squirting some oil into the headlight switch or spray with WD-40 or carb cleaner.

hey thanks for the help. ya my parking light are good, i'm just on my way out to check the
relay... i think it's the switch cuz first the hazards malf'ed, then hbeams, now headlights. headlight switch being left hand flicker? have a gooder
