  • Cranks but won't start

Before going any farther i just want to say sorry. this is not a festiva problem. I just thought somebody out there may have experienced my problem.
The car is a 1992 Pontiac Bonneville SSEi (yes the supercharged one). I have already investigated this and found it has good fuel pressure but no spark. The car will intermittently have no spark.
It has battery power to the ignition module.
All three ignition coils are brand new along with plugs and wires.
The car runs great, when it starts.

If you guys have any ideas or have experienced this problem please let me know. Thanks for the help and again, sorry for posting a non-festiva related problem.

I had one of those before the Caddy .

I never had one go bad myself , but..Yes the crank sensor is somewhat notorious for failing , especially on a higher mileage car .

I am sure it would not be a faulty coil pack .

If I remeber correctly, those coil packs are monted to the block, Under the coil packs are the igniters (solid state) and behind that is the CPS...all that crap fails...double check that the connector isn't loose. Also, each coils fires two cylinders at one time, every cylinder, fires every time it is at TDC, instead of every other time. I hate that design...as soon as one wire or plug starts to wear, all the power goes to the other cylinder.
