I have an 89 Festiva L that i need to switch hatches from my 91 Festiva L. The harness and everything look the same, but my 3rd brake light and defrost will not work.
Should they be compatible?

The wiring in the hatch may be different. I found that out on mine when I was going to do a rear wiper install.

I pulled the harness out of the 89 hatch and put it in the 91 hatch, all is good, THanks!

Should work...
I had a junk 88LX that had the rear wiper, and I put it on my '91L. The wiring was a bit different but swapping harnesses isn't that bad.
Eventually I decided maroon and yellow just weren't meant to be and took it off... :lol:White '89L auto - Sold!
