BP dipstick help.

my BP came without a dipstick, i am buying a universal adjustable chrome one tomorrow, but i need the measurement of how long it to to set the new one to the correct length to get an acurate reading, who can do me this favor and measure their dipstick for me? from the point that rests on the top of the dipstick tube to the tip.

from the rubber stop thing to the bottom of the stick is 12 3/8 inches or 32 cm. and the full line is 10 1/2 inches or 27.5 cm.

im not quite sure on what points you measured to and from. i need it from the part that its at the top of the dipstick tube to the stick, JUST thae part that is in the tube while it is in the engine. no less and no more. thank you.
