  • how do you get the HVAC panel out?!

ok, i've tried and i've tried, and i cant seem to figure out how to disconnect the cables that go to the instrument panel. can anyone help me?
oh yeah, the reason is that i've got a backlight bulb burnt out in my new festy, and i want to replace it with the one from the old car. thanks in advance.

If I remeber correctly I used to disconnect it from the tranny and push the cable back through the firewall to give me more slack so you are not fighting it behind the cluster. You should be able to squeeze the realease then.

ither side of the heater case and 1 behind the glove box. pull out the glove box, 2 screws, makes things much easyier. the 2 on the case, go in the foot well and you should see them.

You SHOULD be able to pull out the panel enough to access the bulbs without disconnecting any of the cables.
