  • Michigan roads killed my dash lights.

    93 Festiva
Our roads are really bad this year.
    Big ol Festiva eating potholes.
My dash lights have been working ok...sometimes I've had to thump the side
of the heater controls to make that light work.
I've checked the fuses but that's as far as I've got.
Could it be something simple or do I need to tear into the dash?
(the control knob that controls brightness never did seem to do anything)

    thanks for any help.....

the wiring on these are usually loose i think. in mine the bulbs went out, then about a week later just came back on. in my new one the bulb is actually out. i'd say its wiring... but a second opinion would probably be good.

All of the dash lighting....speedo....climate...radio...ect? If so, start at the dimmer switch...do the lights flicker as the switch is adjusted?

Actually there were no problems beforehand except for the climate controls light...I would have to thump that sometimes.
I'll take a look at the dimmer switch when the danger of frostbite is over.
          thanks

                  lights

everything works great now......must have been some moisture somewhere that was causing the fuse to blow.
