  • Where does the horn mount??

My Festiva was completely missing the horn. I got a horn and found the wire in the loom behind the driver side headlight but.....Where the heck does it mount to the car. Im been trying to figure it out but .....I give up. Can anyone help me? Pictures? anything?
    Thanx Bob

My 90 L has a horn mounted in the Passenger side wheel well just behind the bumper as pictured here:

My 91 L has dual horns mounted on the front core support in the engine bay as pictured here:

    Hope this helps.

All the L models had 1 horn. The GL and LX models had duel horns.

dual, not duel. Unless they're fighting each other, aka, Dueling Banjos...

So why would a Festiva need two horns? Are they the same volume, pitch, etc?

My horn rusted out where it was mounted on the backside of the bumper at the factory. When I replaced it I moved it onto one of the unused bolt holes on the inside passenger fender. The wire was just pulled up and rerouted.

I recently saw an "aooga" horn on craigs list for $15, but he had sold it already. Gawd, I wanted that on my festy. The big rig air horn would be even better though, peeps thinking a rig is honking, but only seeing my baby car, funnnneeeeeee

I bought my replacement horn at a church basement rummage sale for $1.
It sat around in my workshop for a few years until I needed it on the Festiva.
It's a big red jobbie that's certainly louder than the original.
I try not to use it much but them I'm a retired guy.
