This is primarily a US forum ,,, I doubt anyone here has seen a Australian spec Corona/Crown ... in the US the Corona was always the "big" car and had the straight 6 with a 1 or 2 bbl carb ... being a 1985 model this carb might have the idle mixture screw covered with a metal cap ,, this was common in the US to stop "tampering" ... the idle speed should be easily seen... with a 20 year old car (presumable with air as this is a luxury model) the main thing that would go wrong is a idle speed solenoid to bump the idle when the a/c is on... most people will just try to find a happy medium with a slightly high idle with a/c off but still high enough to prevent stalling with the a/c on.
